Pak blind team leaves for Cape Town on Nov 24

KARACHI: Pakistan blind cricket team will leave for Cape Town on November 24 to compete in Blind Cricket World Cup.
 

Zeeshan Abbasi will lead the national team in the event. The Blind Cricket World Cup will run from November 26 to December 8.

 

Pakistan are the defending champions.

Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India in the final of the third edition in 2006 in Islamabad.

 

The other teams at the event are India, Australia, England, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and hosts South Africa. The tournament will be played on one-day format.

 

Squad: Zafar Iqbal, Mohammad Idrees Salim, Sajid Nawaz, Aamir Ashfaq, Mohammad Taufeeq, Mohmmad Ayaz, Anees Javed, Nisar Ali, Badr Muneer, Mohammad Afzal, Haroon Khan, Mohammad Jameel, Mohammad Akram, Israr Hasan, Tariq Samuel. Reserves: Mohammad Waqas, Mohammad Arsalan, Irfan Majeed.
