Post-Matric Scholarship (After Class X)

  1. Eligibility:
    • Available for all recognized post-matriculation or post-secondary courses (up to Master’s degree level) in recognized institutions/universities, except in the following cases:
      • Students who study the same stage of education in a different subject (e.g., B.Com. after B.A.) are not eligible.
      • Students pursuing two different courses simultaneously can receive a scholarship for only one course.
      • Students who fail or pass undergraduate exams and then join recognized professional or technical courses are eligible.
      • Students pursuing correspondence (distance or continuing education) courses are eligible.
      • Employed students with a combined parental/guardian income within the prescribed limit are eligible for reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.
  2. Scholarship Amount:
    • The scholarship includes:
      • Maintenance allowance
      • Disability allowance
      • Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
      • Book allowance
  3. Maintenance Allowance:
    • Group I (e.g., Medicine, Engineering, Management, Post-Graduate courses recognized by UGC/AICTE):
      • Hostellers: ₹1,600/month
      • Day Scholars: ₹750/month
    • Group II (e.g., Professional courses like Pharmacy, LLB, Mass Communication, Hotel Management):
      • Hostellers: ₹1,100/month
      • Day Scholars: ₹700/month
    • Group III (e.g., Graduate courses like BA, B.Sc., B.Com.):
      • Hostellers: ₹950/month
      • Day Scholars: ₹650/month
    • Group IV (e.g., Senior Secondary, ITI, 3-year diploma courses):
      • Hostellers: ₹900/month
      • Day Scholars: ₹550/month
  4. Disability Allowance:
    • Visual Impairment or Intellectual Disabilities: ₹4,000/year
    • All other types of disabilities: ₹2,000/year
  5. Reimbursement of Compulsory Non-Refundable Fees:
    • Includes fees like enrolment, registration, tuition, library, medical examination, etc., up to a maximum of ₹1.50 lakh per year.
    • Refundable deposits like caution money or security deposits are excluded.
  6. Book Allowance:
    • ₹1,500 per year.

 

  • Note: Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, and Top Class schemes have a limited number of slots. Fresh applications are only considered after all renewals are processed.

1.4 Additional Notes:

  • Post-Matric scholarships are not available for certain professional courses like Aircraft Maintenance, Private Pilot License, and military training.
  • Parents' income declaration should be certified by a Tehsildar or higher officer.

1.5 Required Documents:

  • Aadhaar is mandatory for identity verification.
  • UDID (Unique Disability ID) or proof of UDID enrolment is required to access the scholarship.
