Pre Matric Scholarship
- GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
- The scholarships are only available to Indian nationals.
- Students must have a benchmark disability (40% or more) as defined by the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and have a valid disability certificate.
- Only two children with disabilities from the same family can receive the scholarship. If the second child is a twin, both can receive it.
Conditions:
- Scholarships are available for one academic year only. If a student repeats a class, they will not get the scholarship again for that class.
- A student receiving this scholarship cannot receive any other scholarship or stipend at the same time.
Required Documents:
- Aadhaar is mandatory for identity verification.
- UDID (Unique Disability ID) or proof of UDID enrolment is required to access the scholarship.
- Application:
- Applications must be submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal within the specified deadline.
- Required documents include a photograph, proof of age, disability certificate, income certificate, tuition fee receipt, and last academic qualification certificate.
- Verification:
- The institution where the student is studying must register on the portal and verify the details.
- The State Nodal Officer oversees and processes the applications, and the State Government finalises the list for scholarship disbursal.
- Selection Criteria:
- Selection is based on the percentage of disability as indicated in the disability certificate.
- For Specific Learning Disabilities, a standard percentage of 40% is used.
- In case of a tie, the older candidate is given preference.
- Renewal of Scholarship:
- The scholarship continues each year, provided the student maintains good conduct and regular attendance.
- Scholarships are also renewed if the student misses an exam due to illness or other unforeseen events, with proper documentation.
- Other Conditions:
- Scholarships obtained through false statements will be cancelled, and the amount must be refunded.
- Changing the course or subject will result in the cancellation of the scholarship.
- Scholarships are not payable during internships if the student receives any form of remuneration.
- Eligibility:
- The student must be a regular, full-time student in Class IX or X, studying in a Government school or a school recognized by the Government or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.

- Maintenance allowance: ₹500/month
- Book grant: ₹1,000/year
- Disability allowance:
- Visually Impaired or Intellectual Disabilities: ₹4,000/year
- All other types of disabilities: ₹2,000/year
- Hostellers:
- Maintenance allowance: ₹800/month
- Book grant: ₹1,000/year
- Disability allowance:
- Visually Impaired or Intellectual Disabilities: ₹4,000/year
- All other types of disabilities: ₹2,000/year
