Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs) in State Bank of India. Candidates selected are liable to be posted anywhere in India.

Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of
their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.07.2017. Candidates
having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.07.2017. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.

RESERVATION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITY(PWD) :

Vacancies are reserved for Disabled (Physically Challenged) Persons under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 (1 of 1996) as
per government guidelines. Candidates with following disabilities are eligible to apply as per the definitions given in the above act: : a) Orthopedically Handicapped, b) Visual Impaired, c) Hearing Impaired.
A person (OH/VI/HI) who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability and wants to avail the benefit of reservation will have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by Medical Board duly constituted
by Central or State Government. The certificate should be dated on or before last date of registration of application.

Visually Impaired (VI): 

Blindness :Only those Visually Impaired (VI) persons who suffer from any one of the following conditions are eligible to apply.
i) Total absence of sight.

ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses.

iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse.

Low Vision : Candidates having low vision as defined in Chapter I, Para 2 (u) of the Persons with Disabilities  (Equal opportunities, protections of rights and full participation) Act 1995.

Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank's website www.sbi.co.in/careers or www.statebankofindia.com/careers. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application  fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/Internet Banking.
