Online applications are invited on the prescribed format, from the eligible candidates for appointment to
the following posts on regular basis as mentioned each post.

Post: Professional Assistant 
No. ofpost: 01 for Visually Impaired 
Level – 6,
Group - B 
Qualification: Master’s degree in Library & Information Science from a recognised University / Institute with two
years’ experience in the relevant field in a university /research establishment/Central/State Govt./ PSU and other autonomous body’s library.
OR
i. Bachelor's degree in Library/ Library & Information Sciences from a recognised University /Institute; ii. Three years’ experience
in the relevant field in a university/research establishment /Central /State Govt./ PSU and other autonomous body’s library;
iii. Knowledge of Computer applications.
Desirable:
PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent.

Age Limit: 35 years 

The candidate belonging to the reserved categories shall enclose self-attested copies of the caste
certificate and/or medical certificate (pertaining to the determination of degrees of disability in case
of PwD candidates) from the competent authority in the format prescribed by the Government of
India (subject to verification at a later date), failing which the application shall be rejected.

A candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD who has been selected on the same standard as applied
to the General candidates and who appears in the general merit list is to be treated as own merit
candidate. Such candidate is adjusted against unreserved point of the reservation roster. In other
words, a candidate applying against the unreserved vacancy cannot be considered for any relaxation

The written test/skill test/interview shall be conducted as per the Central University of Haryana Cadre
Recruitment (Non-Teaching and other Academic Posts) Rules, 2018.

The selected candidate shall be liable to serve anywhere within the jurisdiction of the University.

The candidate shall bring all original certificates relating to the age, qualifications, experience at the
time of tests or interview, wherever applicable. In case the candidate fails to submit the original
documents for verification of the certified photocopies of the enclosures to his/her application, he/she
may not be allowed to appear at the tests/interview and his/her candidature may be treated as
cancelled, without any further communication in this regard.
