NOTIFICATION OF VACANCY FOR RECRUITMENT OF TEACHING POSTS.

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Deemed University (Sansthan) invites applications from Indian nationalsfor recruitment to the following teaching posts at its Headquarters and Campuses located at different places of the country.
Posts:
1. Professor
No. of posts: 06
Departments: Sahitya,BauddhaDarshan, Vyakarana, Puranetihasa, Advaita Vedanta, Mimamsa.
Qualifications: i. An eminent Sanskrit scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations-2018, Notification dated 18th July, 2018. ii. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate. iii. Ability to teach through Sanskrit medium. OR B. i. An outstanding Professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied discipline, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience. ii. Ability to teach through Sanskrit medium.

2. Associate Professor
No. of posts: 02
Departments: Sankhya Yoga, Nyaya
Qualifications: i. A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline. ii. Acharya/M.A. Sanskrit or equivalent degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
iii. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations-2018, Notification dated 18th July, 2018. iv. Ability to teach through Sanskrit medium.

3. Assistant Professor
No. of posts: 21
Departments: Advaita Vedanta, Sahitya, Vyakarana, Jyotish, SarvaDarshan, BauddhaDarshan, Dharma Shastra, Veda, English, Hindi.
Qualifications: Acharya/M.A.(Sanskrit) or equivalent degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, with at least 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University or, an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET: Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions :- a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency. The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. iii. Ability to teach through Sanskrit medium.
 

Assistant Professor: English: i. M.A. (English) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University or, an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in concerned discipline, conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET:

M.A. (Hindi) or equivalent degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University or, an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. iv. The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in concerned discipline, conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET:

There is no upper age limit for the posts. However, the retirement age for the said posts is 65 years as per existing UGC norms/Govt. of India.

If a candidate wants to apply for more than one post, he/she should make separate applicationsfor each post.He/she will have to pay application fee for each post separately.

Application fee: (Rs. 1,000/- for SC/ST/PWD) which can be paid through Online Mode. Application fee may also be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Vice-Chancellor, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi” payable at New Delhi and sent to the Sansthanalongwith hard copy of the application. In case, application fee is paid through online, the same should be mentioned at proper place given in hard copy of the application and proof of the same should be sent along with hard copy of online application.

The Candidate must super-scribe on the envelope as “Application for the post of ………………”

Fees once paid will not be refunded.

Application made in the form other than the form uploaded in Sansthan’s website www.sanskrit.nic.in.

Candidate should bring all original certificates relating to his / her age, qualification, experience and caste etc. at the time of interview/document verification. In case the candidate fails to submit the original documents for verification of the certified / Xerox copies of the enclosures to his/her application, he or she shall not be allowed to appear at the interview/document verification and his/her candidature shall be treated as cancelled without any further communication in this regard.
