The State Commission for Persons with Disabilities (SCPD) on Thursday launched a web portal, www.scpd.odisha.Rov.in, for receiving e-registration of complaints from the persons with disabilities (PwDs).

Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Minister Ashok Chandra Panda inaugurated the portal in virtual mode. SCPD Commissioner Sulochana Das said that the web portal and e-complaint system, which is in Odia and English is PwD friendly and can be accessed by all PwDs and stakeholders. She said web portal would be a milestone in grievance redressal system of the PwDs. The website would also work as a platform to create awareness on laws and schemes for PwDs and would empower all 21 types of PwDs as per RPD Act 2016.
