Mr Venu Arjan Bhai Mir, a 36 year old man with complete blindness and 75 percent loco motor disability called the Eyeway helpdesk in May 2014 after listening to our radio show, Nazar Ya Nazariya. His life, which earlier consisted of just staying at home, got a completely new turn after Eyeway connected him to an Ahmedabad-based NGO.
 
After undergoing training at this NGO, he got admission in Class X through the Gujarat Board of Secondary Education in 2015. He scored above 65 percent in his 2^nd mid-term examinations, with the finally results being awaited. He’s planning to undergo vocational training under Kushal Bharat Kaushal Bharat Scheme in the near future. He’s now on the path to financial independence and has inculcated a positive attitude that will serve him well for the rest of his life.
 
In a follow up conversation with one of Eyeway’s counsellors, he thanked the organisation for having shown him a torch of hope on the path to leading an empowered life with dignity.
