Training courses
1. One Year Braille Shorthand and Computer Training Course:
In early eighties, we were the first in the NGO sector to take up training in Braille shorthand and typewriting, in both Hindi and English languages. This has helped in creating a totally new employment possibility for persons with visual impairment, for whom such an avenue was viewed as inaccessible in the country, when we took up this activity in 1982. Hundreds of educated blind persons have received training and have been placed in Govt. departments, nationalized banks and public sector undertakings.
Written test for admission for next batch shall be held at 9.00 a.m. on 31st July, 2018. Candidates having passed CBSE examination (12th Class), and also having good Hindi language and Braille skills can participate in the written examination. Successful candidates (blind men and women both) shall be given admission from 1st August, 2018.
2. One Year Advanced Computer Training Course:
The course has the duration of one year and prepares candidates for Government/corporate sector jobs based on advanced computer applications. Blind and low vision candidates having qualification of graduation, basic computer skills as well as good communication skills, can appear for written test at 9.00 a.m. on 31st July, 2018. Successful candidates shall complete their application form in AICB office and shall join the training course from 1st August, 2018.
The candidates for both training courses shall be provided board and lodging facilities in AICB.
