Visually-challenged students who excelled in the public examinations this year were felicitated by Nethrodaya’s Free Residential Higher Secondary School for the Blind.
Students who topped the tenth and twelfth standard board examinations from various districts of Tamil Nadu took part along with their parents in the event held on Sunday. R. Dinesh of Coimbatore, who stood first in plus two, and M. Andal of Chennai, who secured the first rank in class X, received special awards. Outstanding visually impaired students from various districts received certificates, medals and cash awards, said a note from C.Govinda Krishnan, founder, Nethrodaya.
