Malappuram: For Rohit, the newly appointed associate professor at the School of Letter of Mahatma Gandhi University, being visually impaired is never  an impossible hurdle to overcome. In fact, it can be a light in the dark that could guide you the right way.

Last week, Dr P Rohit, 43-year-old Tirur native, became the first person in Kerala to be appointed to a similar role at a university level. He was  appointed as Associate Professor at the English department of the university. He lost eyesight when he was 11 years old. However, he worked hard and  kept his hopes alive in his life. After completing pre-degree and degree from Farooq College, he joined the Hyderabad University for MPhil and PhD  studies. He is now joining MG University after teaching for 13 years at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College in New Delhi.
