In connection with Blinds Welfare Week, visually impaired kids on Wednesday staged a cultural show in the City.
The event, which also included awareness program and seminar, was hosted by Department of Social Welfare (DSW) in collaboration with some NGOs at Government College of Education MA Road Srinagar. The seminar was attended by a huge gathering of officials from DSW and NGOs associated with sector. The Director Social Welfare Kashmir, Nisar Hussain Wani who was the chief guest on the occasion while expressing his views emphasized the “need to develop a positive attitude towards the visually impaired persons.”
District Social Welfare Officer Srinagar, Reyaz Ahmed Baigh and Javid Ahmad Tak of Humanity Welfare (Help-Line Bijbehara) also spoke on the occasion.
