Workshop on Early Intervention for Children with Special Needs

It is common knowledge that intervention should begin as early as possible for it to be effective. When a child is young it may be difficult to have a definitive diagnosis, but a parent instinctively knows if her child shows developmental delays. Teachers notice immediately if a child is different in the classroom. A variety of strategies can be used to help the child and these strategies are enriching for all children. Effective early intervention can often make a huge difference in closing the learning gaps.

With enforcement of Right to Education (RTE), inclusion of children with special needs is fast becoming a norm. Therefore every teacher must know how to teach children with different learning abilities. This workshop will provide you with many strategies that you can start using the next day.

And while you are working with the children with special needs, your classroom becomes fun and effective and everyone learns better.

Learning Objectives:

  • Know the normal developmental patterns
  • Know the common problems that we find in young children
  • Know when to seek help
  • Know how to intervene at the earliest
