Chief minister Rekha Gupta announced on Sunday that several residential and support facilities will be inaugurated, with more projects in the pipeline—reflecting her administration's focus on long-neglected sections of society.

CABI launches 12-day coaching camp for India’s top 56 visually impaired women cricketers

Bengaluru, Aug 26 (IANS) Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) and Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled on Tuesday announced the launch of a 12-day intensive coaching camp to prepare India’s top 56 visually impaired women cricketers for the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind, scheduled for November 2025 across three venues - New Delhi, Kathmandu and Bengaluru.

New Delhi: At Kirori Mal College (KMC), a new initiative is quietly rewriting the meaning of campus life for visually impaired students.
Titled ‘Project Samaavesh – Towards Inclusion and Empowerment this new initiative is more than just support—it's  a lifeline. "Inclusion is not a favour," says KMC principal Dinesh Khattar, adding, "It is a right. There may be limits on sight, but there are no limits on sight, but there are no limits on vision."

News-Help desk for visually impaired students at DU’s Kirori Mal College

Samaavesh Eyeway Helpdesk aims to promote inclusion for blind and visually impaired students and will cater to every National Capital Region (NCR) student, regardless their enrolment with Delhi University.

In a significant step towards fostering campus inclusivity, the Centre for Disability Research and Training (CDRT) at Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College (KMC), on Wednesday launched the ‘Project Samaavesh’, in collaboration with the Score Foundation.
