Kenya: Tech to deliver education to visually impaired students

A total of 356 blind and visually impaired students at St. Oda Primary and secondary School for the Blind – Gem District, Siaya County will benefit from assistive learning technologies through an initiative dubbed “Computer Labs for the Blind” courtesy of a partnership between InAble, AccessKenya, and the Rockefeller Foundation.

It is a common perception that visual impairment, like any other form of disability, is a major cause of despair among the affected persons. Bus Runs over two Visually-impaired Cricketers

THRISSUR: In a tragic accident, two visually-challenged cricket players were crushed to death by a low-floor AC bus of the Kerala Urban Road Transport Corporation (KURTC) at the bus stand here on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as Ratheesh, 29, and  Vinod, 32, members of blind cricket team Dragon Stars based in Palakkad.
