Delhi West recorded a pass percentage of 97.45%, while Delhi East stood at 97.33%, placing both regions comfortably above the national average.
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 10 results for 2026, recording a marginal improvement in overall performance while continuing to reflect strong outcomes across major urban regions, including Delhi.

Visually impaired J-K girl secures 95% in CBSE Class 10 board exam
Srinagar, Apr 15 (PTI) A visually impaired student in Srinagar has scripted an inspiring story by securing 95 per cent marks in the Class 10 board examination conducted by the Central Board of School Education, the results of which were declared on Wednesday.
Zainab Bilal, who aspires to study computer applications, scored 475 out of 500, with a perfect 100 per cent in computer science.

Her driver that day was deaf.
For a moment, she hesitated. “For a second, I thought of cancelling,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post. “Not out of doubt, just curiosity doing somersaults.”

Then she didn’t.
 

2 ‘Children of the State’ from Shimla school selected for scholarships

In a remarkable achievement, two ‘Children of the State’, Amrit Verma and Mokshit Sharma, both studying at Government Senior Secondary School, Tutikandi in Shimla, have been selected for two different scholarships.

Verma has been selected for the INSPIRE Award, a scheme run by the Department of Science and Technology to promote creativity and scientific thinking among school students. Mokshit Sharma has been selected under the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS). He will receive the scholarship until he completes his Class XII.

Nagpur’s Ishwari becomes first blind swimmer to cross Palk Strait

Seventeen-year-old visually impaired swimmer Ishwari Pande from Nagpur created history on Monday by becoming the world’s first completely blind swimmer to cross the Palk Strait from Sri Lanka to India.She began her record attempt at 4 am from Urmalai Point near Talaimannar in Sri Lanka and completed the journey at 3:15 pm, reaching Arichalmunai in Dhanushkodi. Ishwari covered the challenging stretch in 11 hours and 15 minutes.
