For hundreds of visually impaired and physically challenged students at Panjab University (PU), the authorities have decided to launch a helpline to help them in filling their examination and fee submission forms. The helpline will start from next week.

Actor Ram Charan has organized a special screening of his latest Telugu outing “Bruce Lee: The Fighter” for nearly 400 visually challenged kids of a private school here. Some part of the show’s proceeds will be donated to the school. “Their love for cinema amazed me when I recently met them. Some of the kids delivered some dialogues from Telugu films to keep me entertained. I was so moved by their passion for cinema that I decided to hold a special screening of my film,” Ram told IANS.

Rahul Kumar, an inmate of the residential school for blind at Roop Nagar, has qualified the NET in music. Kumar has been a recipient of 'President's Gold Medal' in BA and MA music.
Aggrieved over “lack of action” by Delhi government on issues affecting people with disability, hundreds of disabled people plan to march towards the secretariat on October 6 to seek a meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and put forward their demands. CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday announced a slew of measures for enhancing school education which included grant of Rs 1,263.53 crore for constructing buildings for 1,054 schools which have been upgraded as high schools during 2010-11 and 2011-12.
