Special premiere of ‘Bruce Lee’ for visually impaired kids

Actor Ram Charan has organized a special screening of his latest Telugu outing “Bruce Lee: The Fighter” for nearly 400 visually challenged kids of a private school here. Some part of the show’s proceeds will be donated to the school. “Their love for cinema amazed me when I recently met them. Some of the kids delivered some dialogues from Telugu films to keep me entertained. I was so moved by their passion for cinema that I decided to hold a special screening of my film,” Ram told IANS.

Delhi: People with disabilities gear up for march on October 6

Aggrieved over “lack of action” by Delhi government on issues affecting people with disability, hundreds of disabled people plan to march towards the secretariat on October 6 to seek a meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and put forward their demands. Muralidharan, convenor of the Delhi Viklang Adhikar Manch shared the plans for the march, which will be held under the leadership of 16 organisations, at a press conference Wednesday.

CHENNAI: In a rare instance that gives a glimpse into the thoughts of former President of India, the late APJ Abdul Kalam, a book was launched in Braille format. Titled Kalam – Naam Ariya Pakkangal is a set of essays about Kalam written by people who knew him well, and by those who had interacted with him.
