The tool has been designed to collect basic information, set baseline data of the children, capture progressive data of the Children with Visual Impairment (CVI), and generate reports based on monitoring of field-based activities.

Coming from a small town, Vishal had to drop out after 9th standard due to deterioration of his eyesight from retinitis pigmentosa and lack of awareness to handle it. However, his inner urge to learn brought him to Bangalore where he developed computer skills and continued his studies. He later earned an MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L), and went on to work with TATA Motors.

ITANAGAR, Apr 11: The identification and assessment camp for distribution of aids and assistive devices to hearing, visual, intellectual and multiple disabilities, concluded at Donyi Polo Mission School for Hearing Impaired on Tuesday.
The camp began on April 9 last.
Twenty-seven-year-old Pawan Gupta lives in Saran, Bihar. He was born sighted but started losing his vision when he was thirteen years old. He was diagnosed with Glaucoma.
Loss of vision led to dropping out of school as he could not keep up with the mainstream methods of teaching. He then took up a menial job but that too became difficult to carry out because of deteriorating eyesight.
