Duty of educational institutions

15. The appropriate Government and the local authorities shall endevaour that all educational institutions funded by them provide inclusive education to the children with disabilities and towards that end shall:-
 
(i)               admit them without discrimination and provide education and opportunities for sports and recreation activities equally with others;
(ii)             make building, campus and various facilities accessible;

Short title, extent and commencement

1. (i) This Act may be called the Rights for Persons with Disabilities Act, 2013.

(ii) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
(iii) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Offiicial Gazette, appoint.
