New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) Winner of the Blind Cricket World Cup team India on Wednesday met President Ramnath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Kovind, congratulated the winners of the World Cup and also clicked pictures with them.
Earlier, on Tuesday, the Blind Cricket team had met Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Chandigarh: The National Cricket Tournament for Blind will be held at Panchkula from January 18 to 21. The championship will be played at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3, Panchkula. A total of eight teams -- Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Punjab, West Bengal, Odisha and Chandigarh -- will participate in the event. An 11-member team will include players of B1, B2 and B3 categories. The three-day National Games for Visually Impaired, organised by the state unit of the National Federation for Blind, concluded at Guru Nanak Stadium here today.
Over 300 participants accompanied by their guardians from across the country, including far off places such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh and Assam, took part in approximately 114 track and field events held during the games.

The arrival of participants from Orissa and Tamil Nadu here today has set the ball rolling for the National Games for Visually Impaired, which are scheduled to be held from January 13 to 15, at Guru Nanak Stadium.
Around 800 participants, including officials from as many as 20 states, are expected to take part in different track and field events in the three-day sports extravaganza to be organised by the state unit of Punjab under the aegis of the National Federation for Blinds.
Yakshagana staged by government school children of Dakshina Kannada has bagged the first prize at a national-level competition organised by the Union government in Bhopal. A visually- impaired girl was among the 10 students who performed.
The prasanga (episode) titled “Kishkinda Koutuka” performed by Bondala Jagannatha Shetty Memorial Government High School, Shambhoor in Bantwal taluk, was adjudged the best in the three-day Kala Utsav held from January 3.
