If you are blind or visually impaired the chance to take the controls of a plane might seem like an impossible dream, yet a scheme run by air cadets in Scotland is giving young people the chance to do just that.
The idea of "Flying Aces" is to persuade a range of young people to consider that if they can "fly" a plane, maybe they can do anything.
Fourteen-year-old Taylor, who has been blind since birth, is taking to the skies in a small four-seater plane.
He is about to do something he never thought he could.

With a 15 per cent rise in the number of companies visiting Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) this year, the campus has seen record job placements.
“With over 1,000 job offers logged in (including pre-placement offers), the campus has witnessed hiring numbers this year that have crossed previous 10-year benchmarks… Many more companies are scheduled to visit in the remaining part of Phase II (of placement season), which is on till May,” IIT-D said in a statement.
Over 900 students got “job offers of their choice”, it added.

Visually challenged students and teachers from across the State were imparted basic knowledge of modern assistive devices during a three-day programme held at National Institute of Technology- Tiruchi.
The 52 participants, most of them students, besides a few teachers, a librarian and a railway staff, benefited from the residential training programme on use of laptops, smartphones, various associated shortcut keys, basic android accessibility settings, talkback feature and text to speech feature.
A conductor’s baton has been created that allows the visually-impaired to follow its movements, opening up the potential for blind people to join more orchestras. The ‘Haptic Baton’ contains sensors that pick up even slight motions. These are then transmitted via radio signals to vibrating devices attached to musicians’ wrists or ankles.
Amitha Murali (name changed) from Ernakulum contacted Eyeway in July 2018, after hearing about it from the radio promotions. She contacted Eyeway seeking education related guidance. Amitha is a very ambitious girl having done her schooling and graduation with deteriorating vision with the support of friends and family. 21 year old Amitha came through a lot of struggles in education, mobility and daily living since 2rd standard when her visual impairment was identified for the first time.
The Union cabinet Thursday approved a proposal for setting up the Centre for Disability Sports at Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, to be registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
