With over 33 years in the teaching profession, Dr Sagar is set to retire in two years, but he doesn’t view it as an end. “Mera utsah aur badh gaya hai,” he says. “I will establish a ‘Gurukul’ where the teachings will continue.”

As a visually impaired person, I have travelled across cities with a quiet sense of confidence, trusting that someone, somewhere, would offer a helping hand when needed. But today, that landscape is changing — and not always for the better.
St. Xavier’s College, XRCVC – Viviana Extension announces an online workshop on the theme “Typing with an External Keyboard Using VoiceOver” for individuals with blindness.
Typing on touchscreen devices like iPhones or iPads can be slow and challenging for individuals with blindness. Using an external keyboard with VoiceOver makes device usage much easier and faster.
Physical keys and shortcuts help reduce errors and improve navigation. An external keyboard is a simple yet powerful tool that promotes independence and better access to digital content.

Manish Kumar, 38, comes from a small town in Himachal Pradesh. Born visually impaired, he is the eldest of five siblings in a lower middle-class family. Due to limited awareness about education for blind children, his schooling was delayed. His parents tried their best to find treatment, but his vision could not be restored.
